Seam Drakon earned his Paralegal Certificate at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia and completed a six-month Internship at the Law Office of Cynthia James. To further his knowledge in the field, Seam as well earned an Advanced Paralegal Certificate from the University of Georgia in Athens.  Seam is also registered with the Georgia Commission, having been trained in civil & domestic mediation and arbitration.  Prior to his career in the legal field, Seam Drakon operated as a counselor in the Greater-Atlanta area, and he holds over 18 years of experience in the healthcare field.  Seam is legally authorized to provide counseling services in the State of Georgia having obtained state licensure and national board certification.  Seam studied at Georgia State University for two tenures totaling eight years, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy in 1995 and a Master of Science in Counseling in 2001.  He also earned a Master of Arts in Psychology at Northcentral University in 2004.

Initially following undergraduate school in 1995, Seam Drakon worked in the computer science industry. Seam specialized in database software, designing data entry and monitoring applications using Microsoft Access and Microsoft Visual Basic, among other software.  He worked for National Business Systems, Datagraphic, and Grizzard Advertising.  After working in the computer science industry, Seam Drakon began working as a Counselor at Inner Harbour Hospital in 1998, a specialized children’s residential treatment center in Douglasville, Georgia.  Seam continued to assist young people with behavioral health issues over the years while working at Peachford Hospital, Laurel Heights Hospital, and as a volunteer for the Cobb County School District in its Crisis Prevention and Intervention Program.  Seam later began focusing on adult care, especially those suffering from substance use issues, at the Community Counseling Center of Douglasville.  He continued his work with adults as an Intern at Positive Impact and the Hospice Atlanta Center, and later worked with all age groups while on staff at Ridgeview Institute.  Seam Drakon began working for OptumHealth Behavioral Solutions as a Care Advocate on the Atlanta Public Sector team in 2008.  As a Care Advocate, Seam managed insurance benefits for the consumers of behavioral health services.  Additionally, on an on-call basis, Seam oversaw evening operations of the Central Access Department at the Dekalb Regional Crisis Center.  In his spare time, Seam studies Spanish and is a member of Hostelling International; he hopes to soon travel to Medellín, Colombia.
