I've crawled over railroad tracks in eastern Ukraine, visited Siberia where the sun stayed out till one o'clock, spoken niminoshka types of Russia, lived in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine, lived there when Gorbachev was ousted, written about it. I've lived inMinsk, traveled in Russia and Belarus by myself with interpreter, and I was once a wimp.
I am passionate about the anonymous amongst us, nobility seen from a sidewise view; my writing voice is one of buoyant pathos, and write like you paint. I'm a Baha'i, a believer in the oneness of humankind, a writer of two books You Carry the Heavy Stuff (latest) and Without A Net, a Sojourn in Russia. Courage to Write, anthology just edited by me; published under auspices of Pasadena Reads, check La Pintoresca library.
Second book on Lulu and in my possesion- You Carry the Heavy Stuff, an example of a lot of writing voices, first book on Amazon, also Heavy stuff.
I jump out of airplanes to visit pug dogs on the ground, and some days I have the personality of an untamed dalmation, which means I am passionate about people, dogs, ideas, racial justice, my husband, my friends, books, books, books.
