I admit it. I am addicted to fabric, buttons, ribbon, and lace. I have been since taking my first sewing class in ninth grade Home Economics. My sewing machine traveled with me to college and beyond. Thank goodness my mother in law was also addicted to fabric so my husband tolerates my addiction. Next came counted cross stitch and then, after the birth of my daughter almost thirty (gasp) years ago, smocking and heirloom sewing. Now that I am calling myself retired (ha!), I have decided to pursue a long time dream of a sewing business featuring children’s clothes and accessories. Thus this blog. I also love my husband of thirty four years, my daughter and son and their spouses, irises, hydrangea, hummingbirds, sea turtles, a child’s laugh, and in general the laidback coastal life.
