Sharon Cohen — Hebrew Dalet/B'nai Mitzvah Tutor
Sharon has taught Hebrew in the East Bay since 1996, and over the years, she has served in several key roles within the congregation. In addition to co-teaching the 6th grade Hebrew class and serving as the B'nai Mitzvah tutor at Temple Beth Torah she is the president of the TV/TC Midrasha board.
Throughout these years, Sharon has demonstrated a dedicated involvement in both the broader Jewish communities. Sharon currently teaches 3rd grade Hebrew and is a B'nai Mitzvah tutor for Congregation Beth Emek in Pleasanton.
Her past professional experiences include; serving as Administrative Director of Camp Kadima, Prinicpal of Shir Ami’s Religious School in Castro Valley for 9 years and as an interim principal for Congregation Beth Emek. She spent 10 years as the Mar-Win BBYO youth advisor and Sharon is a frequent presenter on Hebrew education at area Jewish educational conferences. She is known for her workshop: “Making Hebrew a Game.” She resides in Livermore with her husband, Simon and daughter, Shoshana. Sharon really enjoys teaching Hebrew, she loves to see the lights go on as the students start to show their excitement about reading, chanting and understanding Hebrew."
