NOTE:I am a historian/writer/publisher based in Bristol, UK. I have produced 18 books, which can be found at my website or on Amazon. I am often consulted by researchers and the media. I am interested in 18th century history, art, architecture, social history in fact anything with a good story. I am currently studying for an MA in Performance Writing, a rare degree that actually encourages you to think differently and more widely.   The last book I completed was 'The Big World of Mr Bridges' Microcosm', about a carpenter who built a giant musical clock and took it on the road. The story has been an obsession of mine for years, as he and others like him, inspired people to invent and create. By the end of the book I realised we need a new microcosm. I am starting to wonder if this is it.
