<aboutMe>Long-time writer and poet...mostly for my and my friends' entertainment. Married, one wife, no kids, but one cat, residing in Douglas, MA, for nearly 24 years. Many interests...God, my wife, trains, life...writing on anything and nearly everything at least once. I prefer the "limerick" "form" for its discipline of meter, rhyme and concise handling of its idea(s), I also use haiku, rhyming couplets, four-liners and an occasional free-form verse. I have interests in folk, work and protest songs, the blues, advertising jingles and the occasional nursery rhyme tune, plus the older Christian hymns...to write parody, or alternative, lyrics! I see no contradiction in writing what some would call religious poetry AND secular, "everyday" poetry. My Christ works in this world too, not just and only in church.</aboutMe>
