Physically challenged though I am, I thought I could go on for ever. Since the '70s, I'd been a leader in the psychotherapy profession; a member of executive boards, commissions, and ethics committees. I've had a private practice in a well-healed community. I also had two strokes; one massive, which left me with an inability to speak: or move. And so I now say, "After I died, I got a new appreciation of life" Today I write, learn, mentor my family, husband my wife, take joy where I find it, and accept my limitations, such as they are.
I hope you'll find my experiences instructive. Maybe even inspirational. Also, I may be hypo-manic... ... ...but I'm too happy to care!. I'm alive when no one thought I would make it. And living a grace filled life.
