In the late sixties, I was thrust into this what appeared to be strange yet inventive music called jazz. Fortunately, in the early 70's (thank God) for the opportunity to meet some awesome brothers who later became my best friends. By embracing the ideologies of this musical concept, I was submerge into this infallible music as a connoisseur as well. \n\nFunny thing, once you're introduced to this music you'll find yourself transformed by the ongoing movement from the body of this creative music and in time encompass the various shapes, colors and textures of this beloved art form beyond measure. \n\nIn the mid-eighties, I was introduced to the indelible beauty of \"African American Art\" by a local art dealer named Mr. Barger. As time evolved, I was driven by passion and occasional madness to fuse these genres into one attractive centerpiece of art and music.\n\nWhat do you know, in time the crazy world of the Internet entered my limited space and I began to meet some imaginative music aficionados from coast to coast and internationally. After befriending some of these characters, I had and epiphany to eventually create this BLOG for the sole purpose of sharing my thoughts and ideas within the context of amateur writing on my behalf about this incredible music. Although distorted at times, I'm quite sure the imprint of my vision to fuse these idioms onto this canvas reinforced my passion for these wonderful art forms here on The Urban Flux.\n\nFinally, and most importantly, I love, adore and serve my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. (John 3:16-17)\n\nPeace, blessings and most of all LOVE, Rob Young","emails":[{"primary":"true","value":"theurbanflux@gmail.com"}],"accounts":[{"domain":"theurbanflux.wordpress.com","display":"theurbanflux.wordpress.com","url":"http:\/\/theurbanflux.wordpress.com\/","username":"theurbanflux.wordpress.com","verified":"true","shortname":"wordpress"}],"urls":[]}]}
