NOTE:At the time of this writing, I am a 39-year-old gay man living in Evansville, IN.  I moved back here, from Portland, OR, where I had lived for the last 15 years,  on July 4, 2011 to get out of a bad relationship and try to get my life together.  In 2009, I received a diagnosis of HIV  and have not been working since 2008.  Many people tell me that I should write; they love my stories.  I think it is my face, my animation and my overall character that lends to people's enjoyment; I do not know how to capture that in words.  That being said, I have always dreamed of being a writer.  Do I have any talent?  A voice? Skill?  I do not know.  I am going to give it a try.    My Creative Writing: Fiction professor in college told me I was always too close to my characters and in that i did not understand them as others needed to; I took too much for granted.  Maybe I have learned something since then.  I have lived since 1991.  I have made three cross-country moves, two of them ‘sight unseen’ on a Greyhound bus.  I have traveled all over the West Coast.  I have been homeless and living both on the street and out of my car.  I have found and lost a father I never knew I had; I have gained a family after 20 years of searching.  I have lost the only partner I have ever had.  I have lived in fear of retaliation.  I have cried, I have died inside.  And more importantly, the help of a dozen or so friends, saved my life and brought me here, so that I could be safe and share this with you; I have blessings beyond measure.  I want to share my stories with you and how I am moving beyond the troubles I have created in my life.
