Tikarma Vodicka is a poet and painter living in semi-rural Strathablyn on the Fleurieu Peninsula in South Australia.
She lives with her husband, musician Jamie McPherson and three chickens tending her garden and painting.
Her poetry is mainly focused on relationships; with people, the land and with ones faith. Exploring the connections we make with these three elements in our lives and how we as individuals fit in the world at large.
Tikarma's paintings offer the viewer a journey through symbolism and nature inspired by Australian lanscapes upon which they are able to travel as individuals to create their own stories be they appreciation for nature or more deeper dwellings upon their own travels through their lives.
Tikarma's paintings encourage viewers to find their own way rather than having a story or path dictated.
Tikarma sees her paintings as signs on the road of life from which we can draw inspiration, encouragement and soul guidance.
