Aside from writing a travel column for Gannett Publishing's STYLE magazine, I spend my time working in the woods. I am employed as an interpretive naturalist. I also volunteer with the National Park Service from time to time. My newest (and cutest) adventure is raising a puppy. She is a black lab/beagle mix who was rescued from the local shelter. She's developing a great love for birdies and bunnies. My husband and I love to travel but must do so on a budget. We have many student loans to pay off with no end in sight, so pinching pennies when we travel is a necessity. That being said, we travel often and have taken many wonderful, memorable trips.
