Isis Velazquez moved to Florida at an early age. She grew up in South Florida and attended the University of Florida to pursue a double major in Theatre and Criminology. After college, Isis was working a job that required very little creativity and was wasting her life away sitting behind a desk. One morning, she realized that she needed to find her true life… she needed to create the life that she wanted for herself. That was the day she handed in her letter of resignation, and 8 days later, she was driving 23 hours straight to New York. This was 'living the dream' that she always had imagined as a little girl.
Isis moved to New York City with goals of pursuing a career of a working actress in the city. She was first introduced to the stage when she was four years old and ever since then, she has found love and respect for the performing arts. Isis has performed in many theatre productions such as Mi Mujer Es El Plomero, The Vagina Monologues, Love, Life & Redemption, Woman Taking The Lead to Save The Planet, Rickeyah, The Lost Boy, and hosted many events in where theatrics have been a major part of her performances. Apart from theatre, she has been featured on short films and non-speaking roles on TV.
As she goes on with her journey in this business she continues to strengthen her craft and thanks everyone who crosses her path, reminding her of how her career is a blessing and one of the most humbling ones of all. Isis Velazquez is a firm believer that in life, nothing will come easy, but with hard work and determination all your dreams will come true.
