Boston North Shore
A writer and freelance editor, VR was born and raised ninety miles north of Sacramento in a town nestled between California’s Sierra Foothills and the State’s great Central Valley. She is a graduate of UC Berkeley, a voracious reader, an avid if not intrepid traveller, a lover of animals, music, museums, glass, pottery, cooking, eating, and graveyards—not necessarily in that order.
Winner of the Al Blanchard Award, the Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers Colorado Gold for Mystery, and a finalist for both the Claymore and Daphne Du Maurier awards, you can find VR’s short fiction in Mysterical-E, Spinetingler, Vine Leaves Literary Journal, and in the anthologies, BEST NEW ENGLAND CRIME STORIES: BLOOD MOON (2013) and ROGUE WAVE (2015), THE BEST OF VINE LEAVES LITERARY JOURNAL 2012, and the MY BLOODY VALENTINE STORY COLLECTION.
Her novel A TWIST OF HATE was published in 2015 by Gale-Cengage Learning/Five Star.
VR currently makes her home on Boston’s North Shore.
