Wallace is pursuing an MBA and an MSPPM at Carnegie Mellon University. He joined education pioneers to learn more about the issues facing urban education and to learn what it might mean to apply business and policy frameworks to solve urban education problems. As a 2010 DC Fellow, Wallace is working at The Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) in the Chief of Staff’s office. He is evaluating the impact of the federal grants reimbursement process on DC public charter schools and creating performance metrics that can be used to monitor the financial health and compliance of charter schools. In addition to his placement, Wallace is enjoying his social life in DC, spending weekends cycling, hanging out with other Fellows, and exploring DC nightlife.
