The Rosses, Co. Donegal, Ireland
Brigid was a Natural Medicine's therapist for twenty years, until she succumbed to a mystery illness in 2003.
She "stood still" for two years, reviewing life, taking quiet walks on Donegal's beautiful beaches, revamping her diet, finding gentle healing in Natural Medicines and embarking on a creative writing class.
In 2010, she was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and possible rheumatoid arthritis.
She has retrained in Organic Horticulture (after a lifelong passion for gardening), and until recently taught under the Heritage in Schools scheme, co -creating organic School gardens.
In 2012, she fulfilled one of her dreams of being part of the Donegal Garden Trail, remaining on "the trail" for a further two years.
One of her major life lessons has been to slow down and learn to "watch the daisies" !
In her blog she shares her journey and self healing insights.
Brigid's memoir - "Watching the Daisies - Life Lessons on the Importance of Slow" is available on Amazon Kindle https://amazon.com/dp/B01N3M9VJ0
