I started this blog a couple of years ago because, well, an astrologer told me to. Seriously. So that night I started a blog. I’m very obedient. But I thought it would be a good way to develop my writing at the time and to get some thoughts on paper, or digital paper at least. But I didn’t know what to write about, so I stopped.

But then! Through processes detailed in this blog, I decided to try IVF to get pregnant and have a baby, solo. A “single mother by choice”, or so I was planning. So I have been detailing that process, its ups and ultimate downs, and in doing so I hoped to help or inform other women going through the same issues.

Very sadly, the IVF didn’t work, so now this blog will try to unravel how to make my life better. And hopefully my discoveries will help you too!

I believe the trick is in dipping into the “juice” or the “rasa” as they call it in Ayurveda, the traditional medical system of India. We need to live juicily, so join me while I discover what that is.

Love: Yoga, walking, travel, the sea. Haven’t been to nearly enough places, but France and India hold enduring appeal to me. Red wine, champagne, cooking and good food. . My cat, Daisy Lula McCatten – she’s very cute! Think life should be ‘juicy’! Interested in Eastern thought, ‘spirituality’, quantum physics so far as my tiny brain can comprehend it, the ineffable wonder of the world.

Think it’s important to be kind to people, though it’s harder than it sounds.

I’m trained as a yoga teacher, though don’t teach now, just write about it a bit.
