Bob Cohn’s professional experience includes consulting projects and training programs in securities qualification, compliance, product, sales, management and processing for a variety of financial services organizations and audiences.

Bob left a position as Full Professor at a mid-western University to begin a career in financial services with Merrill Lynch as a financial advisor. At Merrill Lynch Training, New York, Bob’s work included development and delivery of NYSE and NASD qualifications material and programs such as Series 7, 63, 24, 4, 9 & 10 as well as sales and business development training for new and experienced advisors. As a Management Development Specialist he developed and delivered coaching, consulting and training to improve Time Management, Leadership, Project and Action Planning, Decision Making, Recruitment and Selection, Presentation Skills, and Conflict Management for both line and staff managers. He was certified an Options Professional through the New York Institute of Finance, where he taught.

As National Sales and Marketing Manager for PaineWebber, he coordinated the delivery of the firm’s product to the 8,000 person retail sales force. As Manager, New York Training there he developed and installed both sales and management training programs, work which he continued at Drexel Burnham Lambert.

Bob continues to focus on assisting new and experienced financial service professionals to develop perspective on the industry and securities markets and to better understand the client. Audiences have included Financial Advisors, and Regional and Branch managers, Wholesalers, Business Development Specialists and Relationship Managers in Banks, Brokers and Insurance Companies. For over 30 years Bob contributed to the NYSE Series 7 examination as a member of the Item Writing and Review Committee.
