bipolarmystic

I was diagnosed as bipolar about four years ago at 24, shortly after a period of intense spirituality (not the go to church everyday, though I did attend spiritual gatherings and even served as clergy, but intense mysticism where I often felt I had a direct line to the universe). After diagnosis, I felt like nothing I experienced was valid and went into a deep depression. I still struggle daily, but have found renewed strength in my spiritual practices and am growing steadily stronger and more aware. I hope this blog can inspire other BP's to consider spiritual and perhaps even mystical practices as a helpful companion to traditional treatments, as it has been of tremendous help to me.
