Carla McGill has a Ph.D. in English from the University of California, Riverside, and was an adjunct professor of English and American literature for more than twenty years. Her work has been published in A Clean, Well-Lighted Place, Caveat Lector, Crack the Spine, Common Ground Review, Shark Reef, Westview, Burningword, Atlanta Review, and Inland Empire Magazine. As a member of the Poetry Society at The Huntington Library in San Marino, CA from 1991–2012, her poems appeared in three of the group’s chapbooks: Garden Lyrics, Huntington Lyrics, and California Lyrics. She writes poetry and fiction. She and her husband live in Southern California.
