Carla McGill has a Ph.D. in English from the University of California, Riverside, and taught English and American literature at California State University, San Bernardino and Azusa Pacific University as an adjunct professor. Her work has been published in A Clean, Well-Lighted Place, Caveat Lector, Crack the Spine, Common Ground Review, Shark Reef, Westview, Burningword, Brief Wilderness, Bryant Literary Review, Atlanta Review, Cumberland River Review, Waxing & Waning, California Quarterly, and more. As a member of the Poetry Society at The Huntington Library in San Marino, CA from 1991–2012, her poems appeared in three of the group’s chapbooks: Garden Lyrics, Huntington Lyrics, and California Lyrics. She lives with her husband in Southern California, where she writes poetry and fiction.
