The Mountains, Granada, Andalusia, Spain

Allow me to confuse you. My name is Medina Tenour Whiteman and I'm a writer of poetry, songs, stories and articles, editor, translator, musician, occasional cartoonist and wannabe avocado farmer. Let's just say I get claustrophobic in categories. I haven't found one yet that I'm comfortable in. I'm an Anglo-American native-born GranaĆna (from Granada, in Andalusia, Spain), raised in a windblown corner of England by Sufi convert parents, and studied African Language and Culture at SOAS in London. I blog about domestic zookeeping (aka parenting my three kids), relationships, spirituality, humour...those darned categories again...stuff it, just read on.
