I'm an author, and I love telling stories! Some of my stories are fact-based (as in news reports), and some are rooted in my imagination. Based in Canada, I have travelled to many parts of the world, all the time gathering material for my writing. The process is subconscious!
Two of my books, published through a brick-and-mortar publisher, tell the true stories of Canadian pioneer feminists. 'Fighting for Women's Rights: The Extraordinary Adventures of Anna Leonowens' was published in 2005.
'Champions of Women's Rights: Leading Canadian women and their battles for social justice', published in 2011, won me the Emerging Literary Arts Award from my city's arts council.
My third, 'Threshold', is a collection of short stories focusing on a group of individuals caught in the nexus of desire and fulfilment. I published it on Kindle.
I'm writing my fourth book at the moment, based on British Home Children. Already half-way through, the book tells the story of 13-year old Meg, a Home Child, and her quest to reunite with her little brother Will. They were separated when they landed in Canada in 1921.
