Cynthia Frank has more than thirty years’ experience in writing, publishing, editing, and teaching. She is president of Cypress House, a family-owned, full-service book-production company as well as a royalty house that has won national and international awards and grants. Cynthia served at length on the education committee for the Pacific Northwest Booksellers Association, and has presented workshops for Publishing University, University of Denver Publishing Institute, Mendocino Coast Writers Conference, American Society of Journalists and Authors, National Assoc. of Science Writers, California Poets in the Schools, Northern California Independent Booksellers Assoc., and the Bay Area Independent Publishers Assoc. Her articles, essays, reviews, and poetry have appeared in books, magazines, and newsletters, including City Miner, Western Edge, Writing Our Way Out of the Dark, A&E Magazine of Mendocino County, The Real Estate Magazine, Wood, Water, Air and Fire, IBPA Independent (the Independent Book Publishers Assoc. newsletter),, Mendocino Portfolio, and SPAN (Small Publishers Assoc. of North America newsletter). Cynthia is a co-founder of Rain Straight Down Poetry and New Performance, and has produced reading series, broadsides, and manuscript competitions in Mendocino County. In her “spare” time, she directs the Mendocino Women’s Choir.
