Went to my first White Sox game in 1954. I have seen two WS no-hitters, Bob Keegan vs Washington Senators in 1957, and Wilson Alvarez vs Baltimore in 1991. Grew up on a farm in Newton Co., IN, home of the Chicago Mob burial grounds, Indiana State University grad. Have coached men's and women's college basketball for the past 44 years, and 50 years total in coaching. Currently living in PA and coaching at Shippensburg University. Get to Sox games in Baltimore, Washington, Philadelphia, and New York. Get to see minor league Sox in Frederick, Hagerstown, Scranton-Wilkes Barre, Leigh Valley, Wilmington, and Potomac. Hobby is collecting sports memorabilia and I have a large White Sox collection, but also a significant Negro League collection. Collection totals over 1,700 items. Also a Bears fan, growing up I got to spend a lot of time in Rensselaer, IN at their training camp at St. Joseph's College - not like today where there are several thousand fans at a practice, then it was just a handful of kids chasing down errant passes and kicks, passing out towels to help the trainer, and sneaking water to players when the coaches were not looking. Follow the Blackhawks, but not much of a hockey fan. Found SSS several years ago, and now I am addicted to it - have to read it everyday. Will also check in on SM, and now South Side Hit Pen.
