Welcome... And thanks for taking a look at my website. I’m Graeme Cumming, a child of the 60s and 70s, gifted with a vivid imagination and the ability to convert that to the written word. Put another way, I’m an author who yearns for his youth and draws inspiration from the books, movies and TV of those times. Though if you’re looking for reboots of The Avengers or Starsky and Hutch, or remakes of Blazing Saddles and The Exorcist (or even rehashed Alistair MacLean and Arthur Hailey novels) you’ll be disappointed. At least, I hope you will – though at the moment there’s only one way to find out: click Ravens Gathering Ravens Gathering and download.
Following a rather extensive reorganisation of my life this year, I am now in a much stronger position to concentrate on writing. My second novel, Carrion, is currently undergoing a final makeover and should be available by the end of 2015. Having wasted too many years not writing, I will be making up for lost time, so expect more to follow.
In the mean time, as you twiddle your thumbs waiting for Carrion to appear, feel free to dip into the posts on this site. There are plenty of life lessons (I’ve made so many mistakes over the years I could write a... No, hold that thought), explorations of my pathological relationship with nostalgia, reviews of indie books, commentary on my writing experiences and the occasional rant about other things I feel passionate about.
I hope you’ll join me and, if you enjoy the ride, please re-blog and share my posts. I won’t promise to remember you in my will, but I’ll be very grateful.
