I like reading and writing. I am politically a Liberal, leaning toward socialism.
I am a Secular Humanist but am exploring Buddhism and Zen
My favorite author is Thomas Wolfe. I have a wide variety of interests, that are very eclectic. I am a very curious person who is always seeking to learn new things and broaden my horizons.
I have a passion for the American South, its culture, history and geography.
A few of the people that I admire, and that have inspired me along the way are, Carl Sagan, Richard Feynman, Bertrand Russell, Alan Watts, Howard Zinn, Noam Chomsky, Buckminster Fuller, Joseph Campbell, Jacob Bronowski, Jiddu Krishnamurti, George Gurdjieff, Louis Leakey, John Muir, Dian Fossey and Jane Goodall. My main and most passionate concern is the environment and the current events that are unfolding, that will be affecting us, and the generations that follow.
