I live in a small town called Brimley in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, about 15 miles from Sault Ste. Marie, MI, home of the famous Soo Locks where ships from all over the world lock through on their way to Lake Superior. I write a weekly newspaper column called "Common Sense at 60" and a monthly one called "Coffee with Sharon." Prior to retiring, I taught English Comp at the local university.
