Hi, my name is Janessa but you can call me Coburn! I am a Poet, Author, Writer and Spoken Word Artist, I love to express myself through my words. By the time I learned to write I couldn't stop. It was an addiction, an outlet, a personal space where I felt the most comfortable. I thank my mom for buying me my first journal. Writing has always been a way for me to talk when there were no words coming out, when I felt misunderstood and when I felt alone my pen and notebook have always been there, holding me, guiding me and allowing me to share my point of view on things.

I grew up in Brampton, Ontario and I am currently still based there. I went to the University of Guelph-Humber, I received an Honours Bachelor of Applied Sciences in Justice Studies from the University of Guelph and a diploma in Community Justice Services.

My goal is that through sharing my stories, experiences and thoughts that I continue to grow as a person and unravel the beauty in the lessons that life has gifted me. I believe were all on a mission of healing and finding our way back to love.
