Jennifer Wilkinson teaches 2nd grade at Cumberland School, a large suburban school outside of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She is excited to connect with other educators across the country to try to figure out how to infuse a global perspective into the elementary classroom. She feels very fortunate to have been selected to participate in the 2015-16 Teachers For Global Classrooms program. This US Department of State Bureau of Cultural Affairs program is designed to support schools in their efforts to prepare our students for a global society. Because of this program she will be able to truly take her teaching "global" by visiting and teaching in Colombian classrooms this summer. You can follow her preparations and travels via this blog.
