Loveland Habitat for Humanity has been in the forefront in battling poverty and realizing the Millennium Goals set forth by the United Nations. After being founded by former journalist Diana Sells, the organization has since grown into an important non-state actor. Funded by donations from private and even public donors, Loveland Habitat for Humanity has served an essential role in addressing the needs of the most vulnerable sectors of society. It currently works with governments, other NGOs, as well as the academe to recommend the design and implementation of sustainable housing for these sectors.
