The purpose for this blog is to share my love of nature, through stories, photographs and some paintings. The east side of Lake Winnipeg has a diversified landscape..from the southern part of the basin which used to be part of Lake Aggasiz to the Boreal forest which begin at the "big hill" just south of Grand Beach. The terrain becomes hilly once you head north from the big hill and the forest has more Spruce, Balsam and Tamarack trees. It is truly beautiful and the home to many wild animals and birds.
