Ex-mil from birth, I left the forces having few transferable skills to use in the boring world of civilian life. So I ended up homeless, divorced, and working abroad for gold.

Now, years on, I'm as happy as a pig in poo, married to a wonderful 'keeper', and growing older. Not quite gracefully but near enough.

My thoughts about it all?
You can make a soldier a civilian but you'll never take the military out of a man.
