Sara has a MA in English literature and certificate in technical communication from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. She previously earned her BA in cultural anthropology and English writing at the University of West Florida. Sara worked as the worship pastor assistant and admin at her church until she and her husband began growing their family. Since then, she is a mother of three and a committed homemaker and homeschool teacher, living in the Huntsville, Alabama area.
Sara has been writing poetry since she was young, about 13-years-old. Inspired by a poem written by her great-grandmother, Sara has studied and enjoyed the art of poetry ever since.
The daughter of a choir director and college music teacher, Sara was regularly exposed to music from an early age, which has instilled a lifelong love of music. Sara has maintained her musical background by expressing herself through acoustic and classical guitar and the Native American style flute, composing many of her own songs.
Sara grew up in the Presbyterian Church of America (PCA), which gave her a foundation for her faith. She personally received Jesus as her Savior about the age of ten. She presently attends a nondenominational church with ties to the Southern Baptists.
