All my socialization growing up came from books. I thought the children around me would act like the children in the books I read, but they didn't. I didn't understand why none of them were learning the same lessons from the books that I was. I knew I was different from them, but it wasn't until I was 30 that I realized how very different everyone else was from *me.* That's the same time I found my online tribe. So I'm still new at being accepted.
