My family moved to the San Francisco Bay Area from Salt Lake City, Utah in 1956 when I was three years old. Dad, mom, my maternal grandmother, me and a mutt named Puddles.

I share a house in the Bay Area town of Hercules with my wife who I married in 1981, my daughter, my good friend Scott, an overweight Labrador Retriever named Chloe and a manic hyperactive Gordon Setter named Lexi.
