I was diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder in 2014, and since then I have been doing an immense amount of research trying to find out why I am the way that I am. Through my searches, reading, chatting in support groups, I was dismayed at how little information was available concerning true, personal accounts on how it feels to have BPD. The ones I did find tended to be negative and/or prone to cause triggers. For those of you who may not know, a "trigger" in BPD is something that will set off your negative traits of the disorder, whether that's self harm, binge eating, alcohol/drug abuse, etc, etc. So I decided to try something different. A blog that shares what it is like to live with this disorder every single day. Both the negative and the positive. If I think a post contains any triggers, I will do my best to warn beforehand. But, since every person is different, and the disorder itself presents itself so differently each day, I can't promise 100%.
