Linda Visman - wangiwriter

Linda Visman is an experienced wife, mother, grandmother, with five sons and seven (soon to be eight) grandchildren. She also has three step-children and four step-grandchildren.

She is a former school teacher and principal, with a Bachelor of Arts (Literature and History) from Charles Sturt University (1991), a Graduate Diploma in Educational Administration from the Northern Territory University (1999) Diploma of Teaching from Wollongong Teachers College (1968).

Linda loves the Australian countryside and has mostly lived and worked in regional and remote areas of New South Wales, the Northern Territory and South Australia.

She writes poetry, short stories and children's novels, as well as family history, memoir and biography. She self-published her first novel, "Ben's Challenge" in August 2011, and has just published Thursday's Child, her second novel set in the same era. She is also writing her father's biography, and three books of a series for 10-12 year-old girls are being readied for publication.

Linda lives with her husband, a pottery dog and a large collection of owl ornaments, near beautiful Lake Macquarie on the coast of New South Wales.
