In my late 30’s I was tired of the daily slog supporting the software system of a large manufacturer in San Diego, and asked myself, “Self, what work would be worth getting up every morning to do?” The answer was protecting our wildlife, and so began a five year adventure to earn my Masters degree in Wildlife Biology. That program of study unleashed my natural curiosity about the living world, which eventually led me to here: sitting on the patio with my laptop, sipping coffee while I watch my hive and dive into how to write a blog about my adventures in beekeeping.
